Five Highland Stallions (2004)

This original knotwork design painting shows five highland stallions intertwined with knotwork. The Highland is a breed of great antiquity, inhabiting Scotland and the Isles as far back as the last major ice age. Contemporary Highlands carry the blood of Percherons and Arabians. This design reaches back to the pure Highland stock in build and coloration.
